Life-Changing Experiences Studying Abroad
Renee: Communication Major
For her first trip outside the United States, Renee discovered that Tampere, Finland, turned out to be the perfect study-abroad destination. Not only did Renee learn how to drive a husky sled and get her reindeer driver’s license, she saw the natural splendor of the Northern Lights. And most important of all, she had the opportunity to experience another culture, make new friends, and have the experience of a lifetime. Experiential learning outside the tradition classroom, like Renee’s study abroad experience, are one of the hallmarks of a Truman education.
