Joanne: Theatre Major
After failing miserably at sports in high school, Joanne says she discovered that theatre provided a creative release for her. She found the right fit at Truman where she has learned there’s more to theatre than acting on a stage for a Truman graduate. She’s taken classes in all aspects of theatre from acting, to lighting, to set and costume design, and more. One of the things she likes best about Truman is knowing she can talk to the faculty about anything that’s on her mind. And she feels confident she’s acquiring the knowledge, skills and strong work ethic she will need to make it in theatre.
