Graduate Programs

Application deadlines and requirements vary for Truman’s graduate programs.  Application and supporting materials (including letters of recommendation) must be turned in by the program’s application deadline to be considered for acceptance.

Application Information for Master of Accountancy Program

Application Deadlines

  • Fall Semester: June 1
  • Spring Semester: November 1
  • Summer Semester: April 1
  • Applying for Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant positions: February 15

Current Truman students can access application through your Student tab on TruView.

Fees
A $40 application fee is required before application will be processed. Pay online or mail to: Truman State University Graduate Office 100 E. Normal McClain 203 Kirksville, MO 63501-4221

McNair Scholars: Please fill out the Certification of McNair Program Participation/Fee Waiver Request. This can be mailed or brought to the Graduate Office in McClain 203.

Once your online application and $40 fee have been received you will receive an email from the Graduate Office indicating receipt of your application and detailing what is still missing in order for your application to be considered complete and sent to the admissions committee for review. If you do not received this email one week after you have submitted your application and fee, please assume we have not received one of those two initial required items.

Application Checklist for Master of Accountancy Program

  • Online Degree-Seeking Application and $40 Fee
  • Official GMAT test scores
  • Current resume (Upload in the Online Application)
  • Transcripts from all colleges and universities from which you have earned college credit* (Upload in the Online Application)
  • One letter of recommendation (non-Truman undergraduate students are encouraged to submit three letters of recommendation) (Submit Recommender’s Information in the Online Application)
  • Non-Truman undergraduate students are encouraged to provide a personal statement (Upload in Online Application)
  • Accountancy Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant Application (optional-available as part of the Online Application)

*Applicants who attended or are attending Truman State University do not need to request Truman transcripts; they will be requested by the Graduate Office. All other applicants will need to submit transcripts from all institutions from which you have earned college credit (including high school dual credit).

Note to Communication Disorders applicants
If you have trouble uploading your Personal Statement via our online application, you may use this form instead and email it to gradinfo@truman.edu, drop it off at the Graduate Office in McClain Hall 203 or mail it to the address listed below under “Fees”).

Application Deadlines

  • FALL SEMESTER: February 1; March 1; April 1
  • SPRING SEMESTER: September 1; October 1; November 1,
  • Applying for Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant positions: February 15

The Graduate Office submits all completed Master of Arts in Education (MAE) applications to the admissions committee on the 1st of the month in September, October, November, February, March, and April.
