Application Requirements & Deadlines

Entrance Requirements to Graduate Programs

  • Hold a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
  • Have an acceptable cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale, as determined by the program, typically 2.75-3.00; preference given to candidates with higher GPA
  • Undergraduate preparation in a field of appropriate background for undertaking a specific advanced degree program

General Application Requirements

For all applications, the following general items are required for your application to be considered complete:

  • Application
  • $40 Application Fee
  • Transcripts from all colleges/universities sent to Graduate Office
    • Current Truman undergraduates do not need to submit Truman transcript
  • Personal Statement
    • Prompts provided within online application enrollment information
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
      • Only 1 letter of recommendation is required for Accounting applicants
  • OPTIONAL Graduate Teacher/Research Assistantship Application
    • Only applicable for students applying to the Accounting, Athletic Training, Education, English and Music graduate programs
