Data Science Program

Application Requirements and Deadlines

You have a few options when you apply to Truman’s Data Science Program.

Graduate Certificate PLUS Master’s Degree

An important decision you will want to make initially is whether you wish to earn the Graduate Certificate in Data Science before earning the master’s degree.  The advantage to this is you can show an employer a credential while you are still on the way to the final degree.  To do this, you will need to apply to the Graduate Certificate first.  As you are entering your final term of the Graduate Certificate, you will then apply to begin the master’s degree.  Upon the awarding of the certificate, you will begin completing the remainder of your courses for the master’s degree.

Master’s Degree OR Graduate Certificate

If you wish to earn only the master’s degree, you should apply directly to the master’s degree as you begin. Likewise, if you wish to earn only the graduate certificate, apply directly to the certificate program.

If you have any questions about this sequencing, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 660-785-5384.
