Transfer Scholarships

Now is the time to apply for admission!

Transfer Scholarships

We understand that you’ve worked hard to get where you are today, and we want to reward you for your efforts. For full consideration for all University awards, submit an activities list or résumé with your application for admission to Truman by March 15 for fall enrollment and November 1 for spring enrollment. Most scholarships require you to complete at least 12 hours of transferable credit to be reviewed and are made available to domestic transfer students.

Truman recognizes the difficulty posed by recent college closures and program discontinuations. We wish to support incoming transfer students with special consideration for various scholarships.

No Separate Application

That’s right! Your application for admission also serves as a scholarship application for University awards. You can earn both automatic and competitive scholarships by applying for admission to Truman (see images above for specifics). Scholarships are awarded based upon your transferable cumulative GPA and credit hours post high school, at time of application. No need to make any special requests — when your GPA and credit hours meet the award threshold, the Admission Office will automatically award the scholarships upon acceptance.

Keep Us Updated

We will continue updating your automatic scholarship awards throughout the year, reflecting your improvement in transferable GPA and credit hour standing. Improvements to your final GPA can increase your automatic scholarship awards. Make sure to have final transcripts sent to the Admission Office as soon as possible after your semester end. Transcripts received after the first day of classes will not be considered for scholarship review.

Transfer Scholarships Are Renewable Scholarships

Transfer scholarships are renewable as well. As a Truman student, you will simply need to meet the Scholarship Renewal Guidelines — you may be eligible to have scholarships for up to eight semesters at Truman.
