Application Process
Yes, we will be test-optional for freshman applicants for Fall 2023. New first year students are welcome to apply to Truman using our traditional application or our test-optional application for the Fall 2023 semester. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed without test scores, even if you had previously had your scores sent to us or if the test scores are present on your high school transcript. Learn more about how it works at testoptional.truman.edu. Note: If you’re applying to be a nursing major, you must apply with a test score. Yes, our application is free to use and will remain free so we can better serve students in their college search process. We don’t have a deadline for applications. However, we recommend freshman applicants apply by December 1 for fullest scholarship consideration. Most students hear back from us within two weeks regarding an admission decision, so we get back to you pretty quickly. Yes, we superscore both the ACT and SAT tests. Students must submit official score reports for the tests to be superscored. Some high school transcripts include official score reports on them, so we can use those as well when reviewing your application.
Campus Visits
Set up your personalized campus visit at visit.truman.edu. We offer weekday visits, Saturday Showcase events, virtual visits, and some limited Saturday admissions presentations. Yes! We will offer virtual admission presentations. You can find available times and register for a presentation here. You are welcome to contact your counselor about setting up a one-on-one virtual visit
