Register for an Ofstad class via the regular Registration Tool on Truview. Ofstad courses are open to all students, not just English or Linguistics majors. In fact, we encourage students from every discipline to broaden their academic horizons and contribute their unique viewpoints to these courses. Each course is taught by a distinguished visiting scholar at the forefront of their field. Our scholars bring their research on a variety of topics not typically offered by full‑time faculty, and we ask that you expand the conversation by bringing your own thoughts, opinions, and experiences to the table. Courses run for no more than a single block, making them ideal for busy students who seek unique electives, and we’re happy to work with students who have scheduling conflicts. Additionally, interdisciplinary courses such as these are only as richly varied as the minds that contribute to them, so we’d love to hear your suggestions for future classes that may pique your interest.
