Selecting a Major

Although most Truman students pursuing pre-med studies opt to major in areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Health Science, and Exercise Science. It is not uncommon for students to also major in the humanities such as Psychology, Sociology, etc. Students can also start their academic career as Undeclared if they are unsure of the right path for them, the prerequisites taken are the same so you have some flexibility when beginning. Most degree programs would need to be declared within the first year to stay on track with pre-med goals but starting Undeclared in the first semester is okay.
