Pre-Art Therapy Minor
The pre-art therapy minor is designed to prepare a student with a degree in Psychology (BA or BS) to apply to a graduate program in art therapy, and paths are also available for other majors. Learn how to use the creative art-making process to help people resolve a wide variety of mental and emotional conflicts and problems.
Art therapists work in a variety of media including drawing, painting, and ceramics. A background in art therapy can be especially useful if you plan to pursue a career in a medical field, education, psychology, social work, and art.
