Sample Four Year Plan: Modern Language (BA), Spanish Specialization, Starting in 101

 

Though many incoming freshmen with several years of high school Spanish place higher than Spanish 101 when they begin at Truman, with careful planning students who wish to major in Modern Language with a Spanish specialization can begin in Spanish 101 in their first semester at Truman and still complete the major in four years.

(*) This can best be accomplished by doing two things, that are taken into account in this sample plan:

  1. Taking Spanish 201 and 202 online in the summer following freshman year at Truman.
  2. Studying abroad at some point during the four years at Truman. Most Spanish students study abroad. Consult with your Spanish faculty advisor for a more individualized plan.
