Students of Concern: Our Mission
The Students of Concern team consists of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs professional staff members whose focus is to support students in attaining personal and academic success at Truman State University and to maintain a safe and productive educational environment for the Truman Community.
The goal of the SOC team is to obtain as much information as possible to guide our screening, assessment, and intervention strategies.
Our strategies are developmental in nature and are intended to assist the student in gaining greater responsibility, a sense of connection to the community, an understanding of balancing individual needs with the responsibilities of living within a community, and the skills and strategies necessary for personal growth, academic success, and persistence to graduation.
This site is not monitored 24 hours a day; if this is an emergency, call 911.
Do you have any questions about the Students of Concern? Contact the Department of Student Affairs, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm at (660) 785-4111 or at email@example.com. If this is a weekend or weekday after 5pm, please call the Kirksville Police Department, Central Dispatch at (660) 665-5621.
"My favorite aspect of Truman is the sense of community. I love knowing so many people around campus and having so many great opportunities that I might not have at a larger university."
