Foundation Board: Ashley Merideth

Ashley Meridith - Student representative on the Truman State University Foundation BoardAshley Merideth—Student Representative

Ashley Merideth is a student at Truman State University majoring in English on the Master of Arts in Education (MAE) track to be certified for middle school English and special education.  Her minors include Spanish and psychology and she currently works as a student advisor in Ryle Hall.

As a self-identified “Military Brat,” Ashley does not claim any hometown but did graduate from a St. Louis City High School. She chose Truman for the experience-focused education program, affordable price, and small, yet fulfilling location.

Ashley started working with alumni during her first month on campus when she began her first on-campus job as a Tel-Alumni caller.  She excelled as a caller for her ability to make personal connections and genuinely listen to the alumni she got to know.  Later, she was promoted to the coordinator position but decided to leave Tel-Alumni to work as a student advisor in Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall.  After a couple of months away from the alumni though, Ashley heard about another opportunity to be involved with them as the student representative to the Truman State University Foundation Board. Ashley applied and started working to represent the interests of the current students in the decision-making process for the Foundation Board funds.

Ashley will serve as the student representative to the Foundation Board through her last year at Truman in the graduate program.
