Cheryl Cozette

Cheryl Cozette Cheryl Cozette retired as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction for Columbia Public Schools, Columbia, MO.  Prior to that she was an elementary principal in both the Kirkwood and Rockwood School Districts in St. Louis County, MO as well as at Bucklin Elementary School, in Bucklin, MO.

Following retirement, Cozette worked as a consultant for the eMINTS program at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She also worked as assistant adjunct professor for the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis department at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an EdD in Elementary Administration/Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Cozette serves on the Board of Cor Columbia, an organization that empowers male student-athletes through academics, athletics, experiences and relationships. She teaches and participates in educational activities at The Crossing in Columbia, MO.

She attended Truman State (Northeast Missouri State University) in 1978-79 and served as a member of the Truman State Board of Governors from 2007-2024.
