Foundation Board: Mark Taggart

Mark Taggart Mark Taggart (’95) is the Chief Administration Officer for Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), which includes leadership for the finance & accounting, human resources, and legal departments for a team of 16,000 associates.   Mark concurrently serves as President of Raylease and Chairman of the Board for multiple dealerships.

Since joining the Toyota group of companies, Mark served in multiple executive roles, including TMHNA CFO, President of Raylease, President and CEO of Toyota Industries Commercial Finance, President of Toyota Financial Savings Bank, Vice President of Toyota Financial Services Corporation (Nagoya, Japan), and General Manager for Toyota Financial Services in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions. Driven by a passion for innovation and excellence, Mark continues to shape the future of mobility and finance through collaborative leadership and strategic vision.

Beyond his professional endeavors, he actively contributes to education and youth development through board roles with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Public Education Foundation, Communities in Schools, Nagoya International School, and St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.

Mark was the 2024 Bentele/Mallinckrodt Executive-in-Residence. He earned a degree in Business Administration at Truman in 1995, was a member of Blue Key, Alpha Phi Sigma, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and served as a Residence Life Advisor.  His wife Melissa (Wines) Taggart, also a 1995 graduate of Truman, earned a Health Science degree and is an Oracle Technical Consultant for MSS Consultants.  They have two daughters and a son, Sarah, Grace, and Benjamin.  Grace earned a BSN degree from Truman in 2023 and works as a Women’s Oncology Nurse in Phoenix, AZ for Mayo Clinic Hospital.
