Truman
2017: Turned into the Purple and White's everyday second baseman with a banner year in 2017 as she played in 58 of the team's 63 games with 56 starts ... hit .331 with 60 hits in her 181 at-bats, 40 runs scored, nine doubles, five triples (first on the team), three home runs, 29 RBI, 88 total bases, a .486 slugging percentage, eight walks, one hit-by-pitch, a .359 on-base percentage, two sacrifice flies, four sacrifice hits, and 14 stolen bases in 15 attempts ... Truman won three games in one day as part of day two of the GLVC Tournament, which may very well could have pushed the Bulldogs into the NCAA Tournament ... that day, Schmidt was as big of a reason as any for the Purple and White's success as she had the walk-off hit for Truman in the first and third games against Rockhurst and McKendree, respectively ... vs. the Hawks in the bottom of the seventh with the score tied 3-3, the second baseman blasted a three-run home run over the wall in center to give the Bulldogs a 6-3 victory ... later that night against the Bearcats, Schmidt walked it off for Truman with an RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the 13th, the longest GLVC Tournament game since 2004 ... tallied 16 multi-hit games (14 with two and two with three), five multi-RBI games (three with two, one with three and one with four), a hitting streak of seven games, and a reached-base streak of 11 games ... that four-RBI game came in the second of two against Quincy at home when Schmidt went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, four RBI, one double, and a home run ... the three-RBI game was vs. Rockhurst in the GLVC Tournament when she was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBI and that three-run shot to center field ... not only did she excel with a bat in her hands, but Schmidt flashed the leather up the middle with a .980 fielding percentage and only five errors in 250 chances with 124 putouts and 121 assists ... named Academic All-GLVC ... recipient of the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award for finishing eligibility with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
2016: Appeared in a total of 27 games with one start that came against Harding on Feb. 13 ... didn't register a hit in her three at-bats, but her work was primarily as a pinch-runner as she accounted for nine runs scored and was 4-for-4 in stolen bases and attempts... named all-Academic GLVC.
2015: Saw action in 29 games, all as a pinch-runner ... scored 13 runs and went 3-for-3 stealing bases ... named Academic all-GLVC.

High School
A three-sport (softball, basketball, and track) athlete at Macon, where she started all four seasons in softball - earning four-time all-conference and all-district honors ... also named all-conference in both basketball and track, picking up three-time all-state honors in track.
