  • First team all-GLVC
  • Made season-high 11 catches for 138 yards in championship game against UINDY.
  • 21 total receptions for 267 yards and a touchdown in each game.
  • Longest reception was 37 yards against Missouri S&T.

2019 (Junior)

  • Honorable Mention all-GLVC
  • As a top target for Barr,  he grabbed 40 catches for 536 yards.
  • The six-foot-7 tight end reeled in 7 touchdowns.
  • Had a season-high 91 yards on November 2 against Mckendree. 
  • Had his longest reception of 58 yards against Mckendree
  • Scored in games against Valparaiso, Southwest Baptist, Missouri S&T, William Jewell, Mckendree, and two against Quincy.
2018 (Sophomore)
  • Caught seven passes, five for touchdowns during sophomore season.
  • Last five catches for the season all went for touchdowns, including grabs of 38 yards against Southwest Baptist and 36 yards against Quincy.
  • Finished with 93 receiving yards.
  • Named a member of the Academic All-GLVC team.
2017 (Freshman):Made an immediate impact with a team-high five touchdown receptions, including the first TD of the season at Michigan Tech (Aug. 31)…finished with 20 catches for 218 yards and a long of 30, against Southwest Baptist (Oct. 7)…had receptions in eight of the 11 games played in with four apiece in the first SBU game and at William Jewell (Oct. 21)…had a season-high 51 yards through the air in the victory against Jewell…was fifth in the GLVC in receiving touchdowns…was 5-for-5 in catches coming on fourth down…led the team in “Money Receptions” with 16 of his 20 catches going for either a first down or score.

High School: Ellis was a four-year varsity starter for the Rocks, who went 9-3 before bowing out in the Illinois Class 6 state quarterfinals. He caught 72 passes for 864 yards and 13 touchdowns his senior season and helped covert on five two-point tries following scores. Ellis is a two-time all-conference player and was all Quad City metro first team. He is a member of the National Honor Society and a two-time Medal of Honor recipient.
