KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman Women's Basketball team will play a non-conference game on Monday when they host the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 5:30 p.m. in Pershing Arena.

The two Great Lakes Valley Conference members will meet outside of league play for the second straight year. The Bulldogs took two out of three from the Tritons last season having lost the non-conference game in double-overtime 61-60 but winning the league game 78-73 in a single overtime and 59-51 in the first round of the GLVC Tournament. This will be the third straight meeting between Truman and UMSL in Pershing Arena where the Bulldogs hold an 11-6 advantage and have won the last matchups dating back to 1996. The Tritons last win in Kirksville came in 1994.

Truman last played nine days ago when they used a huge third quarter to trounce rival Quincy 62-42 for GLVC win number one. Cassidy Clark (18), Brooke Bailey (16) and Ashley Hartwig (15) accounted for all but 13 of the Bulldogs 62 points against the Lady Hawks. Truman erased an early four-point third quarter deficit and outscored Quincy 22-7 in the period to take control and cruised to the 20-point win over Quincy.

Missouri-St. Louis is 4-4 overall and lost their last outing that counted against Kentucky Wesleyan 62-58 on December 10. They played an exhibition game against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on December 11 and lost 59-49.  In their two conference games played earlier this month on the road against Missouri S&T and Drury, the Tritons split the games with a loss against the Lady Panthers 72-58 and a victory over the Miners 68-65.

Senior Cassidy Clark is ranked in both scoring and rebounding in the GLVC. Clark is ninth in scoring at 14.2 points per game and has scored in double figures in the last five games including two 20-point performances. She is sixth in boards at 8.4 per contest. She is shooting 53% from the field. She is one of three Truman players in double-digit scoring being trailed by fellow starters Rachel Edmundson (12.9 ppg) and Ashley Hartwig (10.9 ppg). Brooke Bailey (8.8 ppg) and freshman Sloane Tottal (6.5 ppg) round out the starting five for the Bulldogs.

Truman, as a team, is averaging 72.5 points per night while allowing 62.7. They are shooting overall 41.5% from the field and 31.2% from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs make 6.5 three-pointers per game with Bailey leading the team with 18 three-pointers this season. Truman is shooting 74% from the foul line with Clark and Hartwig getting to the line the most at 34 and 33 times respectively.
