KIRKSVILLE, Mo.  – Allison Wiese's three-pointer with 44 seconds left broke a 54-all tie and lifted the Truman Bulldogs to a 60-54 victory over Saint Joseph's (Ind.) College on Thursday night. The Bulldogs trailed by 14 points earlier in the game.

With the score tied at 17 apiece, the Bulldog offense went stagnate as the Pumas scored 11 straight points and led by 14 with 22 seconds left in the first half. Ashley Hartwig's putback at the buzzer made the score 36-24 in favor of the visitors.

Saint Joseph's maintained a 10-point lead through the first part of the second half before Courtney Strait knocked down a pair of free throws and Allie Norton scored to cut the deficit to six at 44-38. McKenzie Russell later hit a three-pointer to close the margin to five but the Pumas got their own three-point play and led by eight with 6:46 to play.

Saint Joseph's would score three more points the rest of the game.

Strait sparked a 9-0 run and Michalina Tomczak capped it off with a jumper to put Truman in front 52-51.

Lauren Davis' free throw with 2:08 left gave the Pumas the lead at 54-52 but Tomczak knotted the game with a basket from a pass by Rachel Steinhoff.

After a turnover by Kalea Parks, Norton found Wiese at the right 45 and the senior buried the three-pointer for the lead.  Parks missed the tying attempt from three with nine seconds left and the Bulldogs converted their free throws to preserve the victory.

Norton led Truman with 19 points with five assists while Tomczak added 10 with six rebounds. Kasey Gassensmith led Truman in boards with eight. It was the largest comeback by the Bulldogs since a victory at Washburn (Kan.) in 2011.

Davis paced the Pumas with 18 points and Parks finished with 13.

The Bulldogs will host the University of Indianapolis on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Greyhounds defeated the Quincy (Ill.) University Hawks 95-79 on Thursday night.
