Miners Top Bulldogs in Men's Swimming Dual

ROLLA, Mo. - - In its final road meet of the 2014 season, the Truman men's swimming team fell 123-76 at Great Lakes Valley Conference rival Missouri Science and Technology on Friday evening.

The Bulldogs logged two first-place finishes on the night, as Neil Girmus took home the top points mark in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:01.67. Meanwhile, the Bulldog 200 Freestyle relay team of George Dowdy, Justin Marler, Tim Senholtz, and Alec Morgan nabbed 11 total points with a time of 1:31.47.

Marler also captured a second place individual finish in the 100 Backstroke, touching with a time of 54.17.

The Truman men close out the regular season tomorrow (Jan. 18) when it joins the women's squad for a 1 p.m. meet against Div. I Missouri State in the Pershing Natatorium. Senior Day events will begin before the start of the meet.
