QUINCY, Ill. - - Quincy's Jordan Wilson hit a jumper with just 0.7 seconds to play, capping a comeback by the host Hawks to defeat the Truman men's basketball team 62-60 on Tuesday night in Pepsi Arena.

Truman (1-3) continued its hot start following Monday's night rout of Central Christian, opening leads of 13-0 and 20-2 in the first ten minutes of the contest against future GLVC-rival Quincy (2-1). However, the Hawks ratcheted up the defense, holding the Bulldogs to seven points in the final 10 minutes of the half while scoring 22 of their own to cut Truman's lead to three, 27-24 at the break.

The Bulldogs built the lead again to as many as nine at 35-26 two minutes into the second half, but an 11-2 run by the hosts tied the score at 37-all with 15:26 to play. Quincy would eventually lead 60-53 with 3:17 left on the clock; however, Truman got a pair of free throws from freshman Cole Myers, a triple by junior Mike Carlson and a lay-up by freshman Cory Myers with 37 seconds to play to knot the score at 60.

The Hawks took the ball on the final possession, and got a floater in the lane by Wilson with just 0.7 on the clock to secure a 62-60 victory in the first of two meetings this season.

Isaac Gardner hit four triples off the bench for a team-high 12 points, with Marek Bush adding 10 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench. The Bulldogs shot 36% from the field overall, 24% from three-point range and 78% from the free throw line.

Truman will take the next eight days off before hosting Grand View (Iowa) at 7:30 pm next Wednesday (Nov. 28) at 7:30 pm in Pershing Arena.
