DURANGO, Colo. – The 19th-ranked Truman men's soccer team dropped the first of a two-game Colorado trip, 2-0, against No. 18 Fort Lewis College on Friday afternoon.

Both teams remained scoreless for the majority of the game until A. Capdepon Rodriguez of Fort Lewis (3-0) received a pass that was 15-yards out from Thomas Hoang in the 71st minute. Six minutes later, Fort Lewis defender Berekk Blackwell found the back of the net from a shot that had rebounded off of the post seconds earlier, giving Thomas Hoang his second and Fabian Kling his first assist of the game.

The Bulldogs (1-2) struggled to get their offense going, only getting off five shots during the game with three of them on goal. Jonathan Brown led the 'Dogs with two shots, one in each half. His second shot was on goal in the 78th minute, but saved by FLC's Ryan Wirth.

Junior goalkeeper Tyler Knierim recorded a season-high eight saves in goal.

The 'Dogs will continue their road trip as they face-off against Dixie (Utah) State on the campus of Colorado Mesa University (Grand Junction, Colo.), Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm (CDT).
