Hall of Fame
Leroy Berry, a Bulldog track member from 1960-63, shares the school record of 9.6 for the 100-yard dash with two other Bulldogs. He was on the 1963 440-yard relay team that had the fourth fastest time among all NCAA Divisions (40.9). Berry won the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association 60-yard dash four consecutive years and was the conference high-point performer twice during that time. In the summer of 1963 at an AAU meet in Kansas City, he ran the 100-yard dash in an unofficial time of 9.4, one-tenth of a second off the world record at that time. Berry is currently on the board of directors of the I Have a Dream Foundation and Kingdom House in St. Louis. For the past 15 years, he has been an agent and owner of a State Farm insurance agency branch in St. Louis.
