Residence Life

Damages and Cleaning Charges

When you move out of your room, you will need to prepare it for a check-out. At the time of your check-out, Residence Life staff will review your Housing Condition Report on-file and compare the current condition of your room to what is documented from when you first moved in. If there are any damages to the room since your move-in date, you may be charged for repair/ replacement of the damage.

For example, here are the size samples for wall repair/repainting charges:

  • less than 2×2 inches: $15
  • less than 4×4 inches: $30
  • less than 8×11.5 inches: $60
  • over 8×11.5 inches: $85 and up

Cost for room damages, maintenance, replacements, and cleaning are listed below.
