Truman has special partnerships that provide qualified pre-med students with advantages in the admission process at prominent health professions schools.
The Lester R. Bryant Pre-Admissions Program (MD)
University of Missouri-Columbia
- Elgibility: Students who graduated from rural high schools in Missouri and wish to pursue a career in rural medicine at Mizzou Med
- When to apply: After sophomore year at Truman
- Application due: Mid-late June
UMKC Medical Scholars Program (MD)
University of Missouri-Kansas City
- Eligibility: Students from select universities planning to pursue MD degree at UMKC
- When to apply: After sophomore or junior year
- Application due: August 1
Still Scholars Program (DO)
A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM)
- Eligibility: Students who have completed outlined prerequisites on accelerated timeline to pursue DO degree at ATSU-KCOM
- When to apply: After sophomore year at Truman
- Application due: July 1 for internal Truman review committee chaired by pre-health professions academic advisor
