B.A. in Mathematics and Physics, Carleton College, Northfield, MN

Ph.D. in Mathematics, Northwestern University

M.S. in Statistics, Iowa State University

Dr. Scott Thatcher is an Associate Professor of Statistics at Truman and currently Director of Truman's Center for Applied Statistics and Evaluation. He has teaching interests throughout the Statistics and Data Science programs, with special interests in computation, data visualization, and encouraging student participation in consulting and undergraduate research.

Dr. Thatcher's current research interests include work with students in studying non-linear measures of variation, as applied to measures of human movement and other time series data.
