Conductor and violinist Paul Grobey is Assistant Professor of Orchestra and Upper Strings at Truman State University. He has previously taught at Keene State College (Keene, NH) and Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA). Paul completed his graduate studies at Ithaca College (MM) and the University of Texas at Austin (DMA). His major teachers have included Julia Bushkova and Faina Podolnaya (violin) and Jonathan Pasternack, Jeffery Meyer, Gerhardt Zimmermann and Peter Bay (conducting). Passionate for a wide range of repertoire, his doctoral research centered on the orchestral music of Leevi Madetoja.
