Professor Sendon, a native of Spain, teaches all levels of Spanish language and culture in addition to more upper-level courses in his area of specialization: Golden Age literature. His research focuses on the autobiographies of soldiers in Early Modernity and the more general discourse of the hombre de acción (man of action) in the Hispanic culture. He has published several journal articles in leading publications, such as Hispania, Hispanófila, Bulletin of Spanish Studies, Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, and Revista Ejército.
