Faculty & Staff

Connie Ikerd serves as the secretary for the Communication Disorders department and the Truman State University Speech and Hearing Clinic. She has been at Truman for more years than she will let us post on this website (!). She is a 2014 winner of the Points of Excellence Award.

As the department secretary and clinic secretary, she is the glue - she handles the correspondence with prospective undergrad and graduate students as well as the many clients who come to the clinic for evaluations and therapy each year. She is often the important first contact between the clinic and new clients or the program and new students. She handles the maintenance of files and documentation for accreditation of the master's program in speech-language pathology as well as future ASHA certification for alumni.

Connie supervises student office workers and coordinates scheduling for rooms and course offerings in CMDS.

In her free time, Connie enjoys walking her sheltie, reading, and shopping.

You can reach Connie at 660-785-4669 or x7414 (clinic)
