Why did you choose Truman?
On paper Truman looked great being such a highly rated school, having a beautiful campus, being close to home and so on. What really made the difference though was all the great people I met while on my visits here. I really saw this as a place where I’d be happy and make the most out of my college experience.
Why did you choose your major?
I’ve never wanted a boring job where weeks can go by without much changing, so what could be more exciting than being an FBI agent.
Now that you are a student, what is your favorite aspect about Truman?
I love how walking to class there’s always familiar faces or how I never have to eat alone because there will always be a friend to sit with at lunch. I feel like our school and campus is very interconnected and it’s very easy to make friends.
What piece of advice would you give to first-year students?
Try everything you’ll never know that some certain thing you were once too scared to do could end up giving you friends for a lifetime or at worst a funny story.
What is your best or favorite experience of your first year at Truman?
Living in the dorms and just hanging out in the lounge with everyone I met in Dobson.
What is your favorite thing about living in Kirksville?
I love how Kirksville has everything you need and it’s a great place to live with friends because there’s always another adventure to go on.
