When more than 4,000 people gather in a place like Truman’s vibrant learning community for the pursuit of shared knowledge, there’s bound to be an energetic fusion of intellect and collaboration. Comprised of the University’s academic schools and departments, the Office of Academic Affairs serves as the hub for all things academic at Truman.
Because of its important role, Academic Affairs serves as an integral part of each student’s journey starting with the first day of class for new students and leading up to the Commencement ceremony on graduation day.
Through careful academic planning — including opportunities for meaningful, high-impact learning experiences that help students determine their purpose in life and give them the ability to apply what they learn in class to the real world — Academic Affairs focuses on academic programs that allow our students to use their intellectual pursuits to make a difference in the world.
