Brian and Linda Batterson established the William Batterson Memorial Scholarship at Truman State University in honor of their son, who was a freshman at the University when he passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 14, 2015.
A St. Louis native and a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School, William Batterson was majoring in history at Truman at the time of his passing. The 5K Race/Walk at the University’s 2015 Homecoming honored William.
This scholarship will be presented to students in honor of William’s heroic spirit and as an expression of the family’s appreciation to the University for providing William such a positive experience.
