My summer internship at the University of Kansas Hospital helped me better understand the profession of nursing. I was able to learn and grow as a student by gaining knowledge from the real-world setting and not just a pretend situation, like in our simulation lab. I now have a better idea of what I want to do with nursing, having been given this opportunity.
