3 Steps for Selecting a Room

Are you having trouble with the Housing Renewal process? Here are some quick steps below that will help you work through the process!

  1. Step One: Complete the Housing Application
    1. Create your housing application in the Housing Portal, located on Truview. Everyone planning to live on campus next year is required to complete a 20-21 housing application. You will not have access to the room selection process without an application.
  2. Step Two: Find and Confirm a Roommate
    1. Search for, select, and confirm your roommate in your housing application. A confirmed roommate match means both students have agreed in the portal to live together. You MUST have an accepted roommate on your housing application prior to moving on the room selection process, unless you intend to acquire a single.
  3. Step Three: Room Selection has begun. Choose your room!
    1. Once you’ve completed the steps above and have paid your housing deposit, please follow the timeline above for room selection.

The Auto-Allocation Process

On March 25, 2020, we will begin our auto-allocation process. If you do not have an accepted roommate or a room selected at this point, we will be automatically assigning you a roommate and room. At this point in time, the Room Selection page will be closed; however, you will still be able to view and message potential roommates.

Using the profile responses and room preference, Residence Life will match you with a roommate and place you in a room. Please thoroughly complete the Housing Profile and Building Preference pages as this will help us in creating the best match possible!

Please note that room placement will be limited at this point, as incoming freshmen will begin their room selection on April 7th, 2020.

College Students Count in the 2020 Census!

Are you from St. Louis? Kansas City? Out of state? Or even Kirksville itself? It doesn’t matter where you’re from, it matters where you are on April 1st, 2020! College towns across the country depend on students’ responses to the census because the census results can help determine how much federal funding communities will receive over the next 10 years. We want to make sure that all students are able to participate and be counted in the 2020 Census.

We encourage you to check out THIS video with more information on the US 2020 Census.
