Farm to Table Program

Experiential learning opportunities at Truman inspire innovation such as “Feed: Hunger in Adair County,” one of the action projects students can participate in as part of the Truman Symposium (TRU 100), a shared experience for first-year students.

The Feed action project focuses on raising awareness about and addressing food insecurity in Adair County. Students can become part of the solution by researching, volunteering, collecting, and growing food for people in need. The project has donated broilers, fresh produce, and nonperishable food items to the Pantry for Adair County, an organization that provides food to people experiencing food insecurity.

Students participating in the Feed action project can also contribute service hours at the Pantry and other community organizations.
