The plan listed below is designed to provide suggestions for sequencing your major courses, but there are also other ways to sequence most majors. This plan is meant to provide aid in early, provisional planning. Please consult with your academic advisor to make strategic academic decisions about which courses to take each semester.
Sample Two Year Plan: Health Science (BS), Pre-Medical Sciences concentration
The following plan is possible on the presumption that an incoming student has an Associate of Arts (AA) degree and has completed the equivalent to BIOL 107, PSYC 166, CHEM 130 (^), PHY 185 and PHYS 186, six credits of English courses, foreign language, and Missouri Statute requirements prior to enrolling at Truman State University.

NOTES:
- (^) Health Science Pre-Medical Sciences concentration students are specifically required to complete BIOL 107, CHEM 130, and PSYC 166 to fulfill Required Support. Students in pre-health studies such as pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-optometry, or pre-physician assistant are required to take additional courses that are not identified in this plan.
- The Writing Enhanced (WE) course requirements are met by completing HLTH 320 (as an elective in the major or another WE course in any area), HLTH 349, and JINS 3XX.
- Students who wish to take the MCAT are recommended to complete a minimum of PHYS 185: Physics I (4 cr), PHYS 186: Physics II (4 cr), AND CHEM 329: Organic Chemistry I (3 cr), CHEM 331: Organic Chemistry II (3 cr), CHEM 333: Organic Chemistry Lab (2 cr) AND CHEM 335: Biochemistry I: Structure and Function (3 cr).
