This plan is meant to provide aid in early, provisional planning. Please consult with your academic advisor to make strategic academic decisions about which courses to take each semester.

Sample Plan: Applied Behavior Analysis (Graduate Certificate)

Applied Behavior Analysis (Graduate Certificate) program only offers a fall entry term. A total of 24 credit hours is required to graduate from the program, divided into 8 courses over 5 semesters.

- ABA 610G: Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis I (3 cr)

SPRING - Semester 2

A Term:
- ABA 620G: Introduction to Behavior Change (3 cr)
B Term:
- ABA 630G: Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis II (3 cr)

SUMMER - Semester 3

8-Week Session:
- ABA 640G: Foundation of Assessment and Research (3 cr)

FALL - Semester 4

A Term:
- ABA 641G: Experimental Analysis of Behavior (3 cr)
B Term:
- ABA 650G: Introduction to Functional Behavior Assessment (3 cr)

SUMMER - Semester 5

A Term:
- ABA 670G: Advanced Behavior Change (3 cr)
B Term:
- ABA 680G: BABC^ Compliance Code, Disciplinary Systems, and Professionalism (3 cr)

NOTES:

  • "A Term" and "B Term" courses are 8-weeks. Full-semester courses are 16-weeks.
  • (^) - Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Upon certification, individuals may apply for licensure in their respective state. Students are encouraged to review their state’s licensure laws to ensure their practicum experiences are aligned with the requirements. Truman State University maintains a website with state licensure information, updated annually at http://consumerinformation.truman.edu/stateauthorization/. Additionally, specific information about which states require licensure prior to practice, their specific requirements, and instructions to apply can be found here: http://www.bacb.com/u-s-licensure-of-behavior-analysts/.
