Jonathan Wehmeyer has been teaching theatre for over a decade. His research focuses on American theatre history, applied theatre, and theatre and the liberal arts. Jonathan has directed a wide variety of plays including Hamlet, The Pirates of Penzance, Into the Woods, and Dance on Bones. He has recieved awards for his directing and scenic design from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF). In 2023, Jonathan was the acting coach for the winner of the Region V KCACTF Irene Ryan acting competition. He accompanied the winning students to the national festival in Washington D.C. where they recieved the VASTA award for vocal performance.
