Currently I have a large team of undergraduate students involved in monitoring tick activity and tick load on small mammal populations. Students use this large data set to develop predictive models for tick activity off host and tick load on mice and design experimental questions to test aspects of these models.
Courses taught include Introductory Biology, Freshman Seminar, Genetics, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Conservation Biology, Large Mammal Conservation and Management (a study abroad course in South Africa), Ecological Field Studies (a service learning course in Nevada).
