Jingrong Pearl Xie has recently accomplished her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Special Education at the University of Kansas. Her specialization is Instructional Design, Innovation, and Technology. Her research specialization is on universal design for learning (UDL) and mobile learning to develop cognitive and social skills for children and youth in formal and informal modern learning environments. Her scholarship primarily focuses on the study of developing cognitive and social skills and improving diversity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Her dissertation research is on developing and designing a mobile executive function coaching solution to support youth and young adults who have executive functioning challenges in post-secondary STEM education.
