Dr Rahman is an associate professor in Computer Science program with 12+ years of teaching and 12+ years of research experience with strong analytical skills and a modest area of expertise. He is a versatile and creative researcher. He has received the Commission on Graduate Studies in Sciences Prize (Best Thesis Award) from FGPS, University of Ottawa for his MSc thesis titled "Suitability of Searching and Representing Multimedia Learning Resources In a 3D Virtual Gaming Environment." He has consistently performed excellently in his academic career. He has received best demo award and ACM Multimedia Grand Challenge award for his excellent research works.

His academic and professional experiences are in the areas of Cyber-physical systems, Internet of things, ambient assistive living, HCI, serious games and rehabilitation, and 3D information visualization. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in the leading journals, conferences and workshops.

As a graduate with years of teaching, research and project management experiences, he is excellent in working with others as a team to achieve desired objectives on time and with excellence.
