Dr. Jason (Jia-Yuan) Lin, Professor and Chair, Department of Business Administration, received his Ph.D. in Economics and did his post-doctoral study in finance at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
He has been at Truman since 1986 and teaches Seminar in Finance , Personal Finance, Introduction to Financial Management and Principles of Finance. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America, Who's Who Among America's Teachers, Who's Who in Business Education, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who Among Asian Americans, and The Outstanding Young Men of America.
He has articles published in the Journal of the Academy of Finance, Journal of Finance Issues, Regional Business Review, The Journal of Global Business Issues, ASBBS E-Journal, etc. Four of the journal articles won best-paper-of-the-conference awards.
He is the faculty director in charge of the study-abroad program, ‘Europe in transition’ sponsored by School of Business and Center for International Education. His hobbies include golf, basketball, badminton, music, and movies.
His wife is Dr. Jane Sung, Professor of Economics. He and his wife have two children, Kirk and Grace.
Dr. Lin's research interests include stock valuation, international financial markets, CEO compensation, stock market correlation, post-SOX financial reporting, and portfolio management.
