Ph.D. - University of Calgary

Dr. Alam has been at Truman since Fall 2019. Before coming to Truman, he has been a Post-Doctoral Fellow for two years at HEC Montreal in Canada and taught around six years at BRAC University in Bangladesh. He holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Calgary in Canada. His teaching interests include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Economic Growth and Development, International Trade, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, and Natural Resource Economics.  His current research focuses on productivity, resource misallocation, and international trade. Outside of work, he loves to spend most of his time with his lovely wife, son, and daughter.
