She Stoops to Conquer Theatre Production

She Stoops to Conquer by author Oliver Goldsmith is a comedy which mocks the snobbery of London in the 18th century. Witty and captivating, it is one of the few plays from the 18th century to retain its appeal and is performed regularly even to this day. The play is appropriate for all audiences.

One of the funniest drawing room comedies ever written. A shy young man, on his way to meet his intended bride for the first time, is misdirected. He takes his betrothed’s house for an inn, her father for the innkeeper, and herself for a maid. Needless to say, all is happily resolved.” -Samuel French
