Staged Reading From the New Musical END TIMES!

END TIMES by Dr. Charles Gran, Professor of Music

When the lives of MARY and MARTHA, daughters of a small town pastor, are up-ended in a great tragedy, one seeks revenge while the other seeks redemption. Their quest for justice becomes increasingly surreal as they journey through a landscape of cults, plagues, rabid dogs, alchemists, soldiers, scientists and monsters of every stripe.

Wishing to follow the empathetic teachings of their MOTHER, they bend to the will of their FATHER and face a series of tests accompanied by their wacky and wry best friends AMY and PHIL, twins who’ve seen it all and do their best to stay above the fray. MARY’s love for JAMES, Mizzou football superstar, ends up being a hurdle to overcome as they face RICHARD ZEBEDEE, a diabolical businessman and senator who blithely wrecks the lives of those around him as he joyously pursues money and power.
