For sustainable development of human society, it is essential to find clean and renewable energy sources. Solar energy is perhaps the most promising one to consider. Photovoltaic (PV) technology converts light from the sun into electric power. Owing to their high-power conversion efficiency and low fabrication cost, perovskite solar cells are emerging as a promising PV material. This research presentation aims to give you a general insight into this novel technology. It covers the fundamental physics behind solar cells, the evolution of PV technologies, and issues and challenges for perovskite PV technology.
