Luminescent Solar Concentrators (LSCs) consist of transparent material doped with luminescent species. In certain situations these devices provide a number of advantages over the more commonly used geometric solar concentrators as well as photovoltaic cells (PVs). This presentation will cover the basics of LSC design, history of its development, the challenges that prevent this technology from going mainstream as well as some of the more recent advancements in the field.
