PICNIC ON THE NATIONAL MALL

Enjoy the warmer weather with a picnic on the National Mall! This event is open to all Truman State University alumni, family and friends. The chapter will provide chips and non-alcoholic drinks to share. In addition to food and drink items, you may also wish to bring blankets or lawn chairs, as well as frisbees, soccer balls and other recreational equipment.

Picnic Location: Southeast of the intersection at 17th St. and Constitution Avenue NW

Driving and Parking Instructions: For those using public transportation to come to the event, the closest metro stop will be Smithsonian (blue line). Additionally, the X1 bus line spans from Foggy Bottom/GWU in the west to the H Street corridor in the east, with a stretch that goes right down Constitution Ave along the Mall (and a stop right at 17th St. NW). The DC Circulator bus that runs along the Mall also has a stop at 18th and Constitution Ave., just one block away from the picnic area. Please Note: In the event of inclement weather, check your inbox for a message from a member of the alumni chapter executive board. If the decision is made to cancel the picnic, you will be notified as early as possible.
