TULIP PLANTING IN PELLA

Saturday, October 27, 2018 | 10 a.m. – noon

Join the Iowa Bulldogs for a special event in Pella! Attendees will plant tulips in Pella, Iowa, to help prepare for their highly celebrated “Tulip Festival” next Spring. Attendees will meet at the Vermeer Windmill at 10 a.m.

All levels of gardeners are welcome, as the group will be given instructions on how to plant the tulip bulbs! Attendees should dress appropriately for the weather and for getting a little dirty. It is recommeded to bring trowels, work gloves, kneeling pads, a great working attitude and any other personal items for your own comfort.

After gardening, the group will enjoy a meal at Opa’s, one of Pella’s Dutch restaurants. Each attendee is responsible for their own meal. After lunch, attendees can visit the various stores, meat markets and bakeries in Pella.
