Iowa Alumni Chapter: Tiptoe Through the Tulips with Truman

TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS WITH TRUMAN

APRIL 27, 2019 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Pella Square | Pella, Iowa

Join the Iowa Alumni chapter and tiptoe through Pella, Iowa’s beautiful tulips, including the tulips Truman alumni helped plant last fall! Meet in front of the Tulip Toren in the Pella square and the group will go for a walking tour of some of the beautiful blooms all while missing the huge crowds that converge on Pella during Tulip Time. Insiders know this is usually the weekend the tulips are at their best.

This will also be a great time to tour Pella’s Historical Village and the Vermeer Windmill. The group will start the morning by touring the Historical Village and checking out the tulips throughout the square area, and then will visit the Vermeer Windmill at 11:30 a.m. After that, the group will have a delicious Dutch-inspired lunch before roaming around to enjoy Pella’s shops, bakeries and picturesque downtown.

Tickets for the event are $6 for Chapter members and $10 for non-members. The ticket includes the tour of the Historical Village and Vermeer Mill. All attendees are responsible for their own lunches.
